Poetry is like a drop of rain water, which soothes the parched hearts infested with envy, in- tolerance, hatred, in-humanity, racial & religion divergences and ignorance.
When poetry flows freely then the abstract ideas get form and spontaneity, Shaveta Narula started writing poetry since she was 12 years of age. She writes from the core of her heart and has treasure of diction. She has read Wordsworth, Shakespeare, John Keats and various other poets. Being Masters in English from Kurukshetra University, she can write quotes, books, stories and poems.
She has written romantic poems, social poems, poems on God and poems on nature. Various poetic devices make the poetry elaborated and enhance its effect, most commonly used poetic devices in her poetry are metaphors, personification and simile.
Metaphor:
It is a device that is used to represent a thing or symbol of something else like
“World swaddling bands’’ is used to express the confinements or limitations of the world.
Simile:
The poetic device is used for comparison and make the description more elaborative. She uses it for expressing the pain of love and beauty of eyes: `Like old music on flute’’.
Personification:
Personifications are used to give living qualities to non-living things.
